Kiyonori Nagasaki, Ph.D., is a Senior Fellow at the International Institute for Digital Humanities in Tokyo. His main research interest is in the development of digital frameworks for collaboration in Buddhist studies. He is also engaging in investigation into the significance of digital methodology in Humanities and in promotion of DH activities in Japan. He has been participating in a number of Digital Humanities projects conducted at several institutions in Japan and abroad such as the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Osaka University, the National Diet Library, the National Museum of Ethnology, the National Institute of Japanese Language and Linguistics, the University of Tsukuba and the University of Hamburg. His activities also include postgraduate education in DH at the University of Tokyo as well as administrative tasks at several scholarly societies including the Japanese Association for Digital Humanities and the Japanese Association of Indian and Buddhist Studies.

I am the Digital Library Developer of the Lafayette College Libraries. Currently, we are undertaking the development of several projects within the domain of the digital humanities, the most appropriate of which for this community is the Swift Poems Project. Within the scope of this is the transformation of critically annotated transcripts of 19th century poetry into documents encoded using the TEI-P5. As such, we are extremely intrigued and eager to become more familiar (and, where possible, actively involved) in those groups establishing the best practices for encoding, parsing, analyzing TEI documents.

Andy has published several essays on Willa Cather and other American writers, scholarly editing, and digital humanities. He is co-editor of the book The American Literature Scholar in the Digital Age (University of Michigan Press, 2011) and has edited, with Janis P. Stout, The Selected Letters of Willa Cather(Knopf, 2013). If you edit ODD files you need to validate the ODD against tei_odds. tei_all will not catch all mistakes and gives and error whenever elements in the RNG or other namespaces are used within <datatype>.
As usual you can associate the tei_odds with a oxygen specific processing command similar to this:

<oXygen/> allows third-party plugins and frameworks. One of possible interest for TEI users is an image viewer plugin, by Kilian Schmidtner and Stefan Krause, that can be used to see images as you browse though documents.
