The Education SIG met in at the TEI meeting in College Mark, Maryland. There was a wide-ranging discussion in which several suggestions were made for educational materials that would benefit the TEI Community at large. These suggestions included:<br />
<br />
*Examples of TEI texts in various languages for the Guidelines. It was noted that this has already been discussed in Council, but not yet implemented. It was felt that these multi-lingual examples were particularly relevant for the reference section at the end of the Guidelines.<br />
*It was suggested that the home page on the TEI site be translated into multiple languages. <br />
*A robust index to the Guidelines be considered.<br />
*It was suggested that the Education SIG make use of the TEI Wiki to collect teaching materials.<br />
*It was also suggested that the Education SIG carry out a survey to ascertain what the membership thinks is important in the area of Education.<br />
