XPAT

Synopsis

XPAT is an XML-aware search engine commonly used with the DLXS middleware. AS explained in the [DLXS prospectus], "XPAT is based on the search engine previously marketed by Open Text as OT5(TM), and sometimes referred to as 'Pat' and 'Pat5.0.'"

Source code and licensing

The source code is not open source.

A free (gratis) version lacking Unicode support and limited to collections of 10 MB is available without technical support. See http://www.dlxs.org/products/index.html .

Support for TEI

No out-of-the-box support for TEI, but when used with the DLXS middleware, there is out-of-the-box support for "Text Class" content, which is based on the TEI Lite P3 version.
