Synopsis
<oXygen/> is a high-powered XML editor with built-in support for TEI. Fairly easy to use, but slow because of use of JVM, leading to cross-platform interface that doesn't feel right in any one operating system.
Features
http://www.oxygenxml.com/features.html
As to slowness, I have a 21MB XML file that is processed using XSL 2.0 to produce an inital (provides links to the child pages) HTML file and 252 child HTML pages. oXygen reports a successsful transformation after 0.3 MS (thousandths of a second). Machine is a OS X (intel) 10.4.10, with 3GB of RAM.

Runs under Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems. Requires JVM. See http://www.oxygenxml.com/download.html .
