I wasn't able to use the word specia-lists in the text, because a substring of it (cia-lis) triggers the spam filter :-)

I need to wrap up my presentations for the TEI-MM, so I'm afraid I'm going to finish this later in the month. I'm actually thinking of leaving it in an essayish form, with the final section containing some general links and merely pointers to other articles, where the 'lobbying' issues would be mentioned and specific links given, the way I moved the relevant links into the (also unfinished) XPointer article.
