Workshop at TEI conference 2015
At the TEI Conference 2015 in Lyon, there will be the workshop Encoding correspondence meta data with correspDesc. On this page, you can post your problems, questions, encoding examples so that the workshop organizers and the participants have the possibility to have a look at them beforehand.
Encoding examples and questions
1. Dear organizers, here are some questions I have : - a) I saw, looking at your files, that you use the element <correspAction> with the attribute "sent" in order to declare that a letter was sent, and the element <witness> when two witnesses of a letter were found (for example the letter and its draft). In my corpus, there are school letters, that means letters written by students in the course of their scribal formation. Is there any tag corresponding to this situation ? There are also copies of the sent letters. - b) Could you also specify how you make the difference in the encoding between the one who wrote the letter and the one who sent it ? This is something that happens a lot in my corpus, since most of the time the letter was written by a professional scribe commissioned by the sender. Looking forward to meeting you at the workshop, Marine Béranger
