The TEI Special Interest Group on Scholarly Publishing, approved and created in June 2009, focuses on the use of TEI in original scholarly publication, as the medium of authorship and archival format from which print, Web, ebook, and other formats may be derived.
The convener of the SIG is Daniel O'Donnell of the University of Lethbridge.
See the main page on the TEI-C website.
Background, Goals
The original proposal for the SIG emerged from members of the North American university press community interested in exploring the use of the TEI as a basis for XML workflows primarily for scholarly monographs and other books.
