Synopsis

The DLXS middleware is open-source software developed by the Digital Library Production Service (DLPS) at the University of Michigan. It is most commonly used with XPAT, a licensed XML-aware search engine. Though in theory the DLXS middelware could be used separately from XPAT, allowing a different search engine module to be plugged in, in reality this would require substantial rewriting of the DLXS code.
