This might become a tutorial on Web Publishing with the TEI. It is inspired by Martin Mueller's e-mail to the TEI-L (of March 5, 2010) and the initial skeleton below is taken from that e-mail directly.

How to turn a single TEI document into a web site that has a table of content and a main window in which chunks of the text can be displayed following the reader's choice

How to build a display with a table of content that lets users call up several documents

How to build a display that combines data from more than one TEI document


Step 4

How to manage footnotes or other forms of subsidiary text


Step 5

How to build a simple search interface, construct simple queries, and format search results in various ways from KWIC to paragraph display

How to construct searches that are constrained by elements


Step 7

How to adjust this system when the input is no longer a set of flat files but some indexed structure
