Comments/Feedback

 • The ODD version has the additional sentence "Note that this is not a ‘TEI conformant’ customization, because it does not follow the TEI abstract model. However, this is a ‘syntactically conformant’ customization, in that documents that are valid against this scheme will also be valid against the TEI_all schema."
This was an intentional addition. (Kshawkin 14:21, 5 July 2011 (EDT))
 • In the bulleted list under 'Rationale': "one desires to keep open the option for a higher level of encoding to be added at a later da" - the 'te' is missing from 'date'
Fixed. (Kshawkin 14:21, 5 July 2011 (EDT))
 • Same in both versions, but typo. Under 'Workflow'" "Page images are tagged using software that assigns a page-level metadata..." Remove 'a'.
Fixed in ODD. (Kshawkin 14:21, 5 July 2011 (EDT))
 • Under the example, the ODD version has additional sentence "Note that for technical reasons the namespace is not shown in these examples, but it should always be supplied on the root TEI element, e.g.: <TEI xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0">" and the namespace attribute has been removed from the example.
This was an intentional addition. (Kshawkin 14:21, 5 July 2011 (EDT))
 • ODD version example is missing the comment <!-- header goes here -->. Instead, it has a self-closing header element. In fact, there are no comments in the example. It either needs the comments added back in, or the note about comments taken out.
Changed <!-- within egXML to <!--. (Kshawkin 14:21, 5 July 2011 (EDT))
 • I didn't look at anything in the ODD after the example.
